About Kenneth Clinton
My educational background is that of mechanical engineering, but even while in college, I was always fascinated with the architectural engineering program. I did not pursue this field because only a few graduated from the program and many spent over 6 years doing so. But I loved hanging around my fellow students in this program. I loved their artistic presentations and the beautiful models of buildings and cities complete with landscapes.
I think this interest came from my fascination with cameras and photography. I owned cameras since I was 7 or 8 years old. After graduating, I began my day career in engineering designing jet engines, missile systems, nuclear power plants, and other advanced DoD products, but my interest in photography never died. I took courses in photography from landscapes to weddings, joined camera clubs and found others with interest in photography to share and grow.
I think the best way to describe my style is that of open creativity, I shot subjects in a variety of ways to see it from all angles. I used a level of details in post processing that approaching engineering design. I record, study and review techniques until I feel I can master the techniques with creativity.
I think my work reflects this combination.
